Who you are contracting with

This site is operated by BAGS FOR CRUISES, LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Florida, United States, trading as Flaxbound, at 501 Commerce Street, Suite 1210, Nashville, TN 37203, USA.

By placing an order you accept these terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refunds & Returns Policy and Shipping Policy.

Who may buy

You must be able to form a binding contract where you live. We do not accept orders from anyone under 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 17 you may order only with the agreement of a parent or guardian, and checkout will ask for their email address so we can confirm it.

You must give accurate details. If the delivery address is wrong or incomplete we cannot be responsible for a parcel that does not arrive, though we will always help you trace it.

How an order becomes a contract

Everything on this site is an invitation to order, not an offer. Submitting the checkout form places an order; it does not conclude a contract. We confirm the order reference and email you a payment link.

A contract is formed when we confirm that payment has succeeded. Until then we may decline the order — for example if an item turns out to be unavailable, if the price shown was wrong, or if we cannot ship to your address.

If we decline after you have paid, we refund the full amount to the original payment method.

Prices and currency

Every price on this site is shown and charged in USD (United States Dollars). There is no other currency on this site and no currency conversion at checkout. Prices currently run from USD 22 to USD 246.

Prices exclude shipping and any taxes or duties, which are shown before payment. If your card is issued in another currency your bank sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee; that is between you and your bank.

Everything here is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no membership tier, no recurring charge, no stored balance and no loyalty scheme on this site.

If a price is obviously wrong — an evident typographical error — we will contact you before charging anything and you may confirm at the correct price or cancel.

Promotions and discounts

Free standard shipping applies to orders over USD 59 shipped within the United States, calculated on the order value before shipping and tax. It does not apply to international orders. See the Shipping Policy.

Where a discount code is offered, it applies once per customer to a single order, cannot be combined with another code, has no cash value and can be withdrawn at any time before you place your order. Any expiry date is stated wherever the code is offered.

Where we show a price as reduced, the higher price shown alongside it is the lowest price at which we actually sold that item in the 30 days before the reduction.

Payment and security

The entire site, including every form, is served over HTTPS. Card details are entered on the encrypted payment page operated by our payment provider. Those details are never transmitted to, processed by or stored on our own servers, and we never see your full card number.

Our payment provider is certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and our own integration is built so that card data never enters our environment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Your card is charged when payment is completed. The descriptor that appears on your statement identifies Flaxbound. If you do not recognise a charge, contact us before disputing it and we will identify the order for you the same day.

Delivery, title and risk

Delivery timescales, carriers and destinations are set out in the Shipping Policy. Timescales are estimates, not guarantees.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title passes when we have received payment in full.

For international orders, import duties and taxes are payable by the recipient and are not included in the price you pay us.

Product descriptions and natural variation

We describe every bag by fibre, weight, origin, dye position, hardware material, measured dimensions, empty weight and suggested load. Every product page also carries an Honest Limits section stating what that fibre does badly.

Because these are plant fibres, colour, weave density, grain and texture vary between pieces and between batches. Screens also render colour differently. Variation of this kind is a property of the material and is not treated as a fault — the boundary between variation and a fault is set out in full in the Refunds & Returns Policy.

We make no claim about the environmental performance, disposal behaviour or health properties of any product. Our position on this is set out in Materials & Claims.

Legal and export restrictions

We ship the destinations listed in the Shipping Policy and cannot ship to any country or person subject to United States sanctions or export controls. You confirm you are not located in such a country and are not on a restricted party list.

Some jurisdictions restrict the import of plant fibres and plant products. It is the recipient’s responsibility to check the rules that apply where the parcel is going. We cannot refund duties or seizures resulting from local import rules.

Products carrying metal hardware may require a Proposition 65 warning for delivery into California. Those warnings are shown on the product page, in the bag and at checkout. See Product Safety.

Using this site

You may not use this site to break the law, to interfere with its operation, to scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, or to attempt to test payment cards against it. We rate-limit and block requests that look like automated card testing.

All text, photographs and design on this site belong to BAGS FOR CRUISES, LLC. You may not reuse them commercially without written permission.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for damage to items carried in one of our bags, including damage caused by carrying more than the stated suggested load.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Florida have jurisdiction, except where the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim there.

If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you place your order.
