The short version
This site stores one thing in your browser: the contents of your bag, so it is still there if you close the tab. That is it.
There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts on this site. That is why you did not get a consent banner — there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, the banner appears before the cookie does, not after.
Strictly necessary storage
flaxbound.cart.v1 — a browser local storage entry holding the item codes and quantities in your bag. It contains no personal information, is never sent to a third party, and is created only once you add something.
It stays until you clear it. Emptying your bag, completing an order, or clearing site data in your browser all remove it.
This category does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules, because without it the shop cannot function.
Analytics
None in use. We do not run a measurement or analytics product on this site and we do not build audience profiles.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser user agent) for security and fraud prevention. Those are not cookies and are not used to profile you. Retention is covered in the Privacy Policy.
If we ever add analytics, it will be behind an opt-in that is off by default.
Marketing
None in use. There are no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, no social media embeds and no third-party tags anywhere on this site.
Our email list is opt-in only, collected by an unticked box at checkout, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. It is not linked to browsing behaviour on this site.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information for that browser, without asking you to do anything further.
In practice this changes nothing about what happens on this site, because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place — but the signal is respected and recorded.
Controlling storage yourself
Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies and local storage per site, usually under Privacy or Site settings. Blocking storage for this site will empty your bag each time you navigate, but everything else will work.
